Partial Memory

You, a ghost from my past, materialized from nowhere, jarringly vivid in the theater of my mind. I’d all but forgotten the sing-song melody of your voice, or the way you’d look at me in the quiet of the early hours. I hadn't summoned you, hadn't consciously thought of you in years, yet there you were.

I found joy in the thought of the sun-drenched park, your laughter and stolen glances. And guilt in remembering you with love.

It was like stumbling upon a hidden room in a familiar house, a space filled with forgotten treasures and bittersweet echoes. Details, once so sharp, were softened by time, like the edges of a well-loved photograph. It was strange to be reacquainted, a reminder of a life lived, a chapter closed.
