Life of the Party

Monday through Thursday, she works like crazy, rushes home to be the mom hers wasn't, including for a man who should be helping but is too dead inside to be a father. Come Friday, she plans the weekend for her friends, listens to everyone's sad stories (they never ask about hers), and thanks her mom for watching the baby. Friday and Saturday are her escape, a mini-vacation from life. Sunday is for recovering, readying herself for the week ahead, and wondering why she doesn't run away from it all.
